Underworld Day Camps
Looking for a fun, active way to wrap up summer before school starts?
Join us at Underworld BJJ whenever schools are closed for holidays or breaks!
Whether your child has trained jiu jitsu before or has never stepped onto the mats, they'll spend the week making friends, playing games, building confidence, and staying active in a safe, welcoming environment.

Our camps combine fun Brazilian Jiu Jitsu games with classic camp activities, outdoor adventures, team challenges, and plenty of opportunities to laugh, move, and burn off energy. Instead of putting them in front of screens all day, keep your child actively learning and playing!

Some past highlights...

Nerf Battle:
Valentine's Day Edition
Parents needed a date night and kids needed an epic Nerf Blaster Battle at the gym on a Saturday night!!! Simple as that!

We provided the ammo, a crazy obstacle course, some snacks, (and a movie upstairs for kids or siblings who don't want to participate in the battle).

It was a wild night, with kids in full-on battle mode, blasting friends and foes alike. Coaches were attacked. Safety hideouts were invaded by enemy lines. Kids even marched for peace. And parents had a much-needed night away!
Underworld BJJ Kids Lead H Street NE Cleanup
Every month, our Kids BJJ program focuses on a character development theme that helps students become stronger leaders, better teammates, and more engaged members of their community. For one of those months, the theme was kindness.
To bring that lesson to life, our students joined friends, families, neighbors, and local leaders for a community cleanup event along the H Street NE corridor and surrounding neighborhoods.
Together, the group filled over a dozen large, 50 gallon trash bags, helping make one of DC's most vibrant neighborhoods cleaner, safer, and more welcoming for everyone.

We are incredibly grateful to every child, parent, family member, neighbor, volunteer, and community leader who participated in this cleanup effort. The success of the event was a direct reflection of the generosity and spirit of the H Street community.

Joan of D'Arce All-Girls Competition
Incredibly proud of our girl army, who came out in force for Joan of D'Arce (All Girls grappling competition) in York, PA this past summer!

As a team, we took home medals in every division we competed in, including two golds! One gold medal was earned by first-time competitor Kinsley, who racked up an impressive 21-0 points against her opponent. And the second gold was earned by long-time competitor Parker, who shown such impressive bravery, heart, and determination to be at the top of the podium. Her highlight reel match included a 12-second armbar!!
